Nothing special, basically Chimera rode off DJ Short’s Blueberry strain (popular strain at the time). Seems he got Blueberry pollen and put it on a bunch of random females (mostly skunk) then passed those off thru forums to get a name. Nearly every strain is just 1/2 blueberry. I say if people like Chimera’s seeds then just get DJ Short’s Blueberry since that is what most of Chimera’s strains is.
I have been around since the beginning of overgrow and chimera has given me my first seeds to grow (frostbite) along with sportster and with the first bubbling bucket article and the rest is history but anyway chimera does not do crosses with out first researching it to the end first would trust the description of the finale outcome of his seed crosses without question he has always responded back then with all the answers I had . I’ve always got my souvenirs from Hemp Depot.
Chimera has been a favorite breeder of mine since 2003 or so.
I first bought Calizar, and over a few years bought 3 total packets of them, and never had one bad plant. Perfect ladies that produced huge sticky buds, that did not mold, or show much difference to each other.
I got his C4, Blockhead, Bubba, Snazzleberry all running now. I personally do not work with the fems, so I have no opinion on those of his.Â
I’d rate his work as perfect myself.Â
Are these guys still online? They made some noise a few years back and suddenly fizzled out. Can’t find a seedbank that sell their beans either. Could have gone underground ya think? Pity cos they have some nice strains to choose from
